Your numbers, your assumptions, our arithmetic.
This calculator contains no industry averages, no hidden multipliers and no measured Chival result — because we do not have one to cite yet. Every improvement assumption starts at zero, which means the projected gain starts at zero. You have to state what you believe would change, and then the page does nothing but multiply.
This is a projection from your inputs, not a measurement. It is not a benchmark, not a forecast, and not something we have observed at a contractor. Once you are running, Chival reports what actually happened in your workspace from your own usage.
3 · The projection
"Additional revenue" is top-line revenue, not profit. No margin, tax or overhead adjustment is applied, because we do not know your margin. "Turnaround hours removed" is elapsed wait time taken out of the quoting cycle — it is not labour hours saved and it does not feed the revenue math.
Every assumption, visible and editable
If a row says a value came from you, it came from a field on the left that you can change. Nothing else is applied.

Every arithmetic step
The whole model, in order. There is no step that is not on this list.
Why the default answer is zero
Most vendor ROI calculators ship with a lift already baked in — "3× more quotes", "18% higher close rate" — and the number is almost never traceable to a measured customer. We do not have measured customers yet, so there is nothing for us to bake in. Rather than borrow a plausible-sounding multiplier, this page starts at no change and makes you supply the belief. The result is a number you can defend in front of your own partner, because you built it.
What we will measure later
Once you are running: time from tech submit to sent, edit rate per field, approval latency, win rate by tier, and autonomy level per bucket. Those are your own numbers, produced by your own usage, and they replace this projection entirely.
Your baseline is self-reported
At onboarding we record your stated current turnaround and monthly quote volume and label it as self-reported. Any before/after we ever show you is measured against your own stated starting point, and it says so on the chart.
